HAVE YOU HEARD OF THE CHANEL FASHION SHOW?
I though I was in heaven a dozen years ago when my parents took me to Disneyland. I was smiling for the two days I was there, jumping around and taking pictures with my yellow, single use Kodak.
I was wrong. I grew up, swapped Mickey for fashion and my yellow Kodak for my Iphone. And then, came the 2014 Fall / Winter Chanel Fashion show. I realized NOW was heaven. It was PERFECTION. Chanel felt PERFECT.
No wonder all the blogs are talking about it: the Super Market idea, the feeling of entering a Women's Dream etc. All products were ACTUAL products: rice, soap, detergent, wine etc. and all were not to be taken with you after the show (pity).
Cara Delevigne opened the show. All models followed and instead of going backstage, they stayed in the "shopping" space. AMAZING. Karl Lagerfeld closed the show, walking the along with Cara Delevigne.
In few words, it was not a fashion show per se but rather an art work emphasizing on Chanel clothing and accessories being worn as an everyday, casual outfit (hence the "tailleur" and sneakers combo), as if you were going... to the Super Market.
I proceeded to the "cashier" (or in other words, the exit) with satisfaction and happiness where we also got our take away gifts (containing 3 Nail Polish and a Lip Gloss).
