HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I’m all about leap years. They've always been lucky and filled with good memories. The last year I remember to have spent it just the way I wanted was 2008. Oh what a year: I graduated with Merit from City University in London, I was healthier (yet chubbier), I played Volleyball, discovered the  glamorous way of partying, started wearing heels and met loads of interesting people: some that became my best friends and others that I wish I had never crossed paths with. But yet again, these #@$%# were useful to my philosophy of life: they helped me understand ethics and opened my eyes to the cruelty and hypocrisy of the world.

So here we are: 2012. So many things happening this year! Among those: the Olympic Games in London, the Football Euro cup in Poland and Ukraine and of course, the end of the world (very much looking forward to it). Supposedly, 2012 will be the essence of the fifth dimension and Earth will succumb to major changes. Oh well, just make sure to have a blast until then; just in case.

One way or another, we are ALL going to have fun this year. At least for the people in my life, I will try to offer all of my positive energy and remain optimistic about the future of both my countries. I used to make fun of the airhead pageant princesses who always claimed they wanted World Peace (always with a disturbingly big smile); but these days, when they ask me what would I want for 2012, I too, tell them World Peace (amongst some more specific requests of course) because conflicts are getting pretty serious and closer to us than before.
So, let us change. Let us make fun of the financial crisis and the social alienation and take advantage of it, it’s all about not over thinking the ifs and what nots.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!!
